About TraceCub
One job, done properly: helping children learn to write their own name.
Writing your own name is usually the first real writing a child does — it's the one word that is always about them. TraceCub exists to make that step easy to practise at home or in a classroom: type a name, get a clean worksheet, print it. That's the whole idea.
How the site works
Runs in your browser
The worksheet is drawn on your own device, in the page you're looking at. The name you type isn't uploaded or stored anywhere.
Built for the basics
Dotted or solid letters, preschool to grade 1 sizes, and ruled lines to practise on — the things name writing actually needs, nothing extra.
Free to use
The generator is free, and every option is included. The site is designed to stay that way for parents, teachers and homeschoolers.
What you'll find here
- The name tracing generator — the main tool: type a name, print a worksheet.
- The preschool page — guidance for the 3–5 age range and the largest letter size.
- Printing tips — paper, ink, and getting a clean sheet every time.
- The free worksheets page — exactly what's included, and why it's free.
Who makes it
TraceCub is an independent website — not a big company, not a school chain. It's run by people who think a first name, written by the child who owns it, is worth making easier. If something about the site doesn't work, or a worksheet could be better, we want to hear it: contact us.
